Designing A Reference Tool For Coders
Our robust development environment, centered on Code Composer Studio™ IDE, is built with your convenience and ease-of-use in mind. You need to get to market fast, iterate faster, and scale your innovations quickly and seamlessly across diverse families of equipments. From our unique cloud environment of easy resource exploration and browser-based development tools to advanced debugging on your desktop, our development tools enable your journey from discovery to production. Browse the table below to get started.
Code Composer Studio™ software
Whether you need a desktop environment or are looking to start development in the cloud, you have flexibility using the Code Composer Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE). These solutions are tailored to your needs to help you scale your designs and develop quicker. Use our industry-leading suite of tools used to develop, compile, debug and analyze embedded applications. The choice is yours: design on your desktop or in the cloud. Have confidence knowing you are using proven development tools that support you from investigation through to production.
Code Composer Studio™ desktop IDE
- Based on the Eclipse open source development environment enabling integration with many tools.
- Includes an optimizing C/C++ compiler, source code editor, project build environment, debugger, profiler and many other features.
- Provides a single user interface taking you through each step of the application development flow. Familiar tools and interfaces let you get started faster than ever before.
- Freely available for download without a licensing fee.
Code Composer Studio™ Cloud IDE
- Get going effortlessly with Code Composer Studio Cloud start your editing, evaluation and initial design. Simply connect your LaunchPad™ development kit or SensorTag, launch the cloud tool and begin.
- Transitioning from Code Composer Studio Cloud to Code Composer Studio Desktop is simple and offers complete project compatibility.
Cloud-based tools
Cloud-based development gives you flexibiliy in design, whether you are still discovering the right device for your application or if you are ready to develop. TI cloud tools provide the ability to run examples and even develop and debug applications. Using these cloud-based resources, getting started is easy. Explore the cloud-based resources hosted within our Resource Explorer.
TI Resource Explorer
- Resource Explorer helps you find all the latest examples, libraries, demo applications, datasheets, and more for your chosen platform.
- The interface lets you select just the resources you need by letting you filter by device or by LaunchPad development kit.
Because Resource Explorer is fully integrated with TI Cloud Tools, your files are imported directly into your project so can start developing with just a few clicks. A desktop version of Resource Explorer with similar intuitive navigation is included with the Code Composer Studio Desktop IDE.
SysConfig graphical configuration tool
Our new intuitive graphical tool for generating configuration code for the various SimpleLink™ SDK components. Configure peripheral drivers, connectivity stacks and more with the help of a powerful graphical interface.
GUI Composer
Use GUI Composer to easily create custom HTML GUIs that can interact with the programs running on your target device.
A wide variety of different web components are provided that let you control the target device and display data sent from the target device. Many different types of solutions can be created with GUI Composer including simulating user interfaces, demonstration applications and test environments.
Gallery
Gallery is an online repository where you can easily browse, select and engage with apps, demos and examples created using the GUI composer. All of these examples can run directly from you browser by logging into dev.ti.com. Explore the Gallery to find an approach to advance your design.
UniFlash
UniFlash for Cloud provides a lightweight method to load target programs to internal flash on a wide range of TI devices. Both a desktop and command line version of UniFlash is also available for the situations where internet access is not available or where a GUI is not needed.
Debug & compiler selection
Debug probes
We offer a wide selection of debug probes that enable software development on our embedded processors. These debug probes are designed to meet different functionality and budget needs, and all are compatible with Code Composer Studio Desktop IDE.
Compilers
Our compilers produce code that is highly tuned for both performance and code size to maxime entitlement of device capabilities. TI compilers are provided as part of the Code Composer Studio IDE or can be downloaded individually.
