How To Adjust Brightness On Windows 7 Professional Desktop

Howdy, I accept turned downward the effulgence and contrast through the buttons on my monitor the lowest it can go, just its not dim enough. I have googled around the identify, and information technology seems that windows 7 for desktops doesn't have whatever functionality that allows yous to turn down the brightness/contrast through the Os? Does anyone know how I tin can turn my brightness/contrast downwardly further?

go to control console, appearance and personalisation, on the left there should be a menu, click adjust brightness there should be a bar at the bottom where you can adjust the brightness.

no its a custom congenital pc, I have an AMD Radeon 6800 series graphics carte, and asrock motherboard 970 (something similar that) , and I cant find any info on how to plow the brightness down with whatever of them

You should have something called amd goad control console. Y'all tin change settings on there. Information technology should be in the bottom right already running if you lot oasis't disabled it in msconfig

Elliotttt is right, but if you are using a desktop then it's is more than benign if y'all were to turn the effulgence down the monitor information technology cocky. P.s MsConfig does nix much, best to use manufacture software.
